ACME Environmental Anticipates Productive Conversations at The Clean Waterways Trade Show

ACME Environmental exists to ensure waterways are kept safe and clean through quality environmental services. It makes sense that we would attend and support this year’s Clean Waterways Trade Show event focused on incident prevention and response for inland regions and waterways.

Clean Waterways Trade Show

The 2023 Clean Waterways Trade Show takes place April 11-13 at the Hilton Denver City Center in Denver, Colorado. This event provides a forum for spill response professionals to gather and discuss ways to improve the industry through case studies, incident postmortems, and technological advances. The team at ACME Environmental is excited to be a part of the conversation.

ACME Environmental Sponsors The Event

Because we truly value the opportunity to meet face-to-face with clients and other spill response industry professionals, we are sponsoring a networking break in between conference sessions. If you are planning to attend the 2023 Clean Waterways Trade Show we would love to say hello. Feel free to reach out to us before the event so we can plan to make an in-person connection. We look forward to seeing you there.

ACME Environmental Leads The Spill Response Industry

ACME was founded in 1967 as an oil spill containment product manufacturer and was one of the first companies in the world to manufacture oil spill skimmers and oil spill containment booms. These products were used for spill containment across the continental U.S. and Alaska and were a big part of clean-up efforts for several major spills.

Following the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill, an amendment was made to the Clean Water Act creating the Oil Spil Removal Organization (OSRO) program. Contractors who are a part of the program have to meet set standards evaluated by the U.S. Coast Guard. Because of ACME’s expertise in the industry, the decision was made to start cleaning up spills. ACME became one of the first 10 contractors registered with the OSRO program. There are now over 500.

In response to customer needs, ACME created a remediation division in 2013. This segment of the business is responsible for contaminated soil excavation with off-site disposal, in-situ blending/stabilization, and ex-situ chemical oxidation treatment utilizing portable remediation units.

The spill containment industry is constantly changing, which is why events like the Clean Waterways Trade Show are such an important mechanism for the distribution of new information among spill response professionals.
